Hi there, I'm a 23 y/o full time student in California and I will very soon need some dental work done, including in the future, some cosmetic dentistry. I need affordable dental insurance that will allow me to choose my dentist. I asked my dentist which she accepts, and she told me any insurance plan in which I can choose freely my dentist.
Thanks in advance!
We are in open enrollment for insurance at work. My son will be one in December (and has 10 teeth). When do you start taking your kiddos to the dentist? Should I include him in this year’s coverage? Thanks!
does anybody else hate dentist i know i do. because when i was a kid about six or so i went to the dentist and they gave me gas but he left and didn't come back for a hour or two and it had worn off by then. I felt him pull every single tooth out but the dumb ass said your just pretending to fill the pain. i never went back to him for over ten years. but when i did go back he never touched my teeth but he tasted my fist. that is why i dont like dentists anybody have any stories like that
I need to get a root canal and a crown for one of my bicuspid (middle) tooth. With the dental plan I have, the endodontic specialist is charging me 9 for the root canal, and the dentist is charging me 0 for the crown. I’m just wondering if this is the average price for root canal and crown in Los Angeles? I currently have CIGNA Dental Network Access.
Is it typical to have to pay high out of pocket expenses for dental work even with a good ins. plan?
I have a decent dental plan (Principal Dental plan) through my job but every time I go to the dentist, they bill me about as much as they get from the insurance claim. Some people have told me they are being dishonest and others have said this is typical. My new dentist does the same procedures but I only pay a small amount (20 or so) on a 0.00 bill. I know with MD bills, we don't have to pay the difference between the doctors billing amount and what the insurance company pays. Does the same apply to dental work?
My 8 year old cousin would like dentures. He has no adult teeth and only 8 baby teeth that would come out soon. Since he is growing they’d need to be replaced yearly.
I cannot include insurance since his parents are not reliable for financial information (too scatterbrained) and not firm to avoid the “preexisting condition” on policies. (His lack of teeth is due to a genetic condition.)
I am a 20 year old college student. I work 20 hours a week and recently got dropped off my fathers health insurance because I am no longer a full time student. I need help finding insurance for dental, health, or both. At the moment all I need is dental but I would like to get both if it's not too expensive.
Any recommendations? Please help me out. Thank you!
I'm still under my mom's health insurance but she doesn't have dental so is there a way to still get her health insurance but get my own dental insurance on the side? I need to get invisalign and I'm going to pay for it on my own but insurance would definitely help that. Also how do I pay for it? Is there like a monthly fee? I'm really stupid when it comes to this stuff so any help would be nice.
Here the thing. My husbands ex-wife has been keeping his kids away fro him. He hasnt seen them in a while. His son is now 18 and his daughter is 14. He has filed paper to take her back to court to try to get his weekends back with his daughter. His ex-wife is mad and sent him a dentist bill of the sons that is 3 yrs old. She never told him about it and now she is saying that by law he has to pay. Does he?
