Im getting braces soon and have to decide between innovation ceramic braces or the traditional metal ones. Other than the cosmetic factor, what are the pros and cons of both?

I am 20 years old and make about 0/week (bi-weekly checks vary from about 0-520 after taxes).
I am in desperate need of health insurance and I badly need dental coverage. This is horrible, but I need at least 5 fillings maybe more. I have weak enamel and I am prone to cavities.
As you can tell I don’t make a hell of a lot of money (and I work almost every day, but of course my hours were recently cut because the owner decided to hire a family member and pay them twice as much to sit on their ass and tell me to do the stuff I already do on my own initiative, then bitch that payroll is too high)
I have to pay car insurance and constant car repairs until I can just replace it with one that won’t need so much tlc and money. This makes it pretty hard to save when I keep on paying to fix things.
I have a phone bill to pay as well and I do not have a house phone so it is necessary to keep in touch with family and work.
Please help me figure out how to get the best coverage possible that will be affordable on a teeny budget. I really am in desperate need.
Thank you so much!
to make things even worse, my wisdom teeth are coming in and messing with my teeth and ruining all the work and money from my braces
I dont know what to do its killing me that this is happening
please help
I am saving the money and currently have 00 and wonder if I can get the entire procedure done for that price, but I am also afraid that it will be so painful that I will miss work…..I am from Columbus Ohio. Is there an affordable dentist in my area?
I am 25 and a Veteran of the Iraq War. Before I left for Iraq, I had dental insurance with my mom’s work and I was getting a lot of work done. Half way through it I got called over seas to Iraq. I have been back for about a year now and need to finish up a lot of that work and get a little more done. Army wont cover it and I’m not rich.
I would like to get it all done soon. And I don’t mind paying for it. However I have tried detal loan companies like carecredit.com and due to my low/bad credit, I do not qualify. I refuse to go to a college or school to get this work done. And I do not have Dental Insurance at this time.
Most Insurance Plans have a minimum waiting period of 6 months for any major dental work or will not cover any of the previous work that has been started. I have talked to most major individual dental plans and they all sey the same thing or will only cover ,000. I need a few crowns, a bunch of fillings, a dental implant and a little more. HELP!
help i was wondering if some one can help is there a cheep dental plan that covers bridges help me and youll get a star
I basically maxed out my dental insurance I have with my job because I had my wisdom teeth pulled. I still need different things done like filling cavities and a cap. I need to find another affordable insurance company to sign up for quickly so I do not cause too much harm to my teeth. Ive had painful tooth aches to the point that I have had to get root canals and have teeth pulled so I am really hoping to find something quick before it ever gets that bad. Please help!
I heard that there is a treatment some dentists are offering and they will completely knock you out before filling cavities, root canals etc. I am so frightened of the dentist I am willing to pay extra money for this. What is the name of this? Will insurance pay for part of it? Thanks for any info!!
I need to go in for a check up to the dentist. I don’t have dental insuracnce only a dental discount thing that came with my Blue Cross health insurance. My fee schedule says Periodic Oral Evaluation copayment is . Does that mean it will only cost me 20 or will it cost more. I live in maryland so if anyone lives in maryland and knows the average cost for a check up please let me know.
so my school offers an option to student to get dental insurance from Aetna
we have two choices:
1- Aetna Advantage Dental (HMO) for 1 dollars for spring semester only
2-Aetna Dental PPO 5 for spring semester only
What’s the difference between both? Which is better? Which covers more? Which one would you choose and why?

My husband hasn’t been to a dentist since he was 12 or 13 and he is now 22. I would like to take him to the dentist to have his teeth checked and cleaned with the possibility of fillings and of course he’ll need X-rays. I was wondering what the average cost of dental care is if you would go to a dental school program? We live in West Virginia and are looking to go to the WVU School of Dentistry. We also do not have any health insurance. Thanks for your help.
The day that they put on the braces do they give you a choice weather or not you can have clear? Or do they just put on the regular metal?

Hello…I am writing in regards to finding any affordable dental care or dentists who accept payment plans in PA? My mother needs alot of work to fix older bridges, fillings, etc… Unfortunately she has no dental insurance or health insurance for that matter, due to her employer not offering insurance (she’s a waitress). I have been searching non stop for any help what so ever and so far I’ve come up with just about nothing. Paying in full upfront is not an option, due to not having much in savings and the normal everyday expense of living. I feel horrible for her and I know she is embarrassed and scared. I wish I could help financially but unfortunately I don’t have much to spare either. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks so much for your time!
I live in North Dakota and I am looking for a Good Dental Insurance Plan. Can anyone help me. Thanks
Hi, I need some advice.Am in my 30’s and the dentist told me I have a bad case of periodontal disease and that although I have great teeeth nothing in the world can save them ( my denstist’s words).Basically my teeth have been coming loose from my gum and I already wear two partials some for my two top teeth and two bottom teeth.
Now here is the problem, my insurance only covers only $ 1500 worth of dental work. If I get the rest of my teeth pulled out @ 65 a tooth ( the cheapest I could find @ affordable dentures) it adds up to almost the total amount from insurance. I will be left with no teeth and no dentures!
So I have to come up with the rest of the balance to make the top and bottom set of dentures, am at a loss because I dont have this money. I know the least amount I have to have together on top of the 00 dental insurance money is 00. Any suggestions?
I need insurance very quickly. I just paid 300 for a wisdom tooth to be removed, and I also need a few root canals. I want my mouth to look good, and feel good, and am ready to put in the time and effort to change things for me. Im in alot of pain.
I have been going to Lake Nona Dental Group in Orlando, FL. They just told me they are contracted with Delta Dental, and United Concordia, but they can also accept others. What does contracted with these companies mean? I used to have bcbs there ppo plan, but it didnt work for pretty much anything. I want something thats going to cover root canals, and also making my teeth look new.
Your help would be greatly appreciated .

I want to have jaw surgery to correct an under bite. My teeth are not misaligned at all so I don’t think I would need extensive braces for mor than 6+ months.
I currently have bridge dentures as front teeth. I was wondering how much $$$ it will set me back to get dental implants (4 implants to be exact)
I’m having an issue with a capped tooth (uggggggggh!) and need to sign up for the insurance you get through Tricare. I think its Concordia? I’ve heard that its not the best dental plan and was wondering if those who have used it think its worth it? If people wouldn’t mind sharing their experiences that’d be great!
I’m and Active Duty dependent.
Thanks!
I live in Queens NY and I have no dental insurance. My mother works but she doesn’t make a good amount and my father is unemployed. She has medical insurance, Aetna, but it doesn’t cover dental and I need to have 1 stupid root canal done and it will cost 2000 w/o insurance. Anybody, I need help. I am also a student in college, so any help, I really need it.
