Get free or discounted dental care? Like cleanings, check ups stuff like that?
I have a two and a half year old son who needs alot of caps and crowns on his teeth and even with dental insurance it will still cost close to 3000.00 to get his teeth fixed. The dentist my insurance company covers will not offer any payment plans, she wants all the money up front. And I can’t afford this huge amount all at once. But I need to get his teeth fixed soon.
I am currently "shopping" for dental insurance. I am very confused right now. I don’t know if a dental work discount plan, or full coverage is better. It doesn’t seem like a discount plan would cover what I need done (major stuff like tooth removal and root canal) but it seems like with a full coverage plan I would have to pay a lot, which I can’t really do.
Can anyone explain some pros and cons? What is a deductible..what does that mean? Do I have to pay it on top of a monthly payment for full coverage?
Any type of help will be appreciated! Thanks!
I had root canals a while back…the teeth turned dark and just a month ago I had temp crowns put in. Well last week I went in for the permanent crowns, and have to say I am extremely disappointed. Not only can you still see the darkness of the tooth…but they are not the same size as they were [which can be somewhat understandable] BUT he also trimmed down the other teeth to make room for them!! So two of my teeth [symmetrical teeth} are now way different shapes and it is toooooo noticable. Can they not trim crowns? Everytime I start thinking about this I get mad as hell. I just want to know if anyone else has had these procedures and how they turned out? Can I get this fixed? Can I get some kind of discount? Gaaah!
I am thinking about getting braces (preferably Invisalign) and I don’t have any insurance at all. I’ve been doing research and haven’t found anything reasonable. I am looking for a good dental or orthodontic insurance plan that will cover or give a good discount on braces and/or dental work. Any information that you can give me will be helpful. Thanks!!!
i don’t have dental insurance, I was wondering what kind of discount they would offer if i was to pay cash.??
I am going to get it this time since it will be cheaper, my question is will it still remain that I had coverage for three years (prior to being laid off and couldnt afford it since November)? I need a crown and if it goes back to waiting period of a year to get discounts on the crown then there is really no reason to get dental again, because Obama is only allowing it for 9 months, right?? Someone please help. I had insurance with my company three years prior… Anyone know the answer?
I’m trying to get braces for myself (lingual), but the insurance I have from my emplyer does not over braces. I’ve been searching for one that does. But the closest I’ve found is a discounted price (which may just be a sales pitch). So I need something that won’t leave me broke right from the start. Thanks in advance.
need some work done , and need advice for a dental insurance/discount plan in fl.
I am not in the military
Ok. So currently I work at Macy’s for .25 for 8 hours every saturday (in summer I worked 30 h per week). I go to full-time college studying enlglish for foreigners (non-degree program). I will have this until nov 17. I will have 1 month gap before I enroll in regular -degree computer science program. I have balance on my checking account only 16 left. Now I have obligation to pay 8 on credit card (more than half balance for school supplies and little dining on, transportation). What bothers me a lot is that I do not have healh insurance. I would like to buy it. There is a temporary insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield for 5 for 6 months - 00 deductible, 00 out of pocket limit, 20 % coins. hospitl admision . dental discount plan would be included and I do not have this but soon I have to go to dentist to clean my teeth from cavity on 10/20. I calculated if I spent for insurance I will have only 3 left. with no insurance 98. are the money worth spending for BC?
I don’t know what to do. What you think about my job. isn’t this too low paid? I realized I will have to spend at least 25-30$ per week for lunch. Maybe I have the start to find a second better job or internship. and still again what you think what I should do with insurance. my parents do not have insurace either in which they might me include.
packing lunch is not enough, not to much nutritional. as I walk from union station through downtown to my school about 15 min, I burn a lot of calories.
Now I get only abt per week after deductions.
BTW should I spent money for health insurance. is it worth?
I market a dental/health discount plan on the internet. I have decided the main reason I’m not having success is isolation.
A while ago, I had to go to the emergency room, but I didn’t have medical insurance, so the next day, a hospital worker who worked for the administrative assistance program, gave me a call and told me that I was eligible to have my medical expensive waived…And they waived every single penny.
So I was wondering, because I don’t have dental insurance, but I do have an income, is there a way that they can waive or discount the expenses for dental procedures, or is that only for medical emergencies?
Hello I dont have insurance and I need some dental work as well as vision. Any advise on a good dental benefit plan (not insurance) the discounted cards? I need some gum work, whitening, maybe pull one, and fixing a chip (front tooth). Thanks for all answers
I am a full time student/ mom w/o health insurance. I need a lot of dental work done. I need two crowns, all four wisdom teeth removed, and 18 cavities, and two possible root canals. The dental office I went to told me it would cost about 5,000 not including my wisdom teeth because I need an oral surgeon for that. Can anyone help me? I am looking for an office on a sliding income scale or anything to help. My husband and I our income is 0.00 over the allotted income for AHCCCS. Please please help me I am in great need!

I don’t have dental insurance and I haven’t been to the dentist in years. Anyone know of any good dental discounts or insurance. I really want to go and get a cleaning and check up. I think i’ll need some work done considering my jaw hurts and the gap in my teeth seems to be getting wider. Anyone else not have dental insurance? Thanks for the help
I currently dont have dental insurance through my work and I dont have a preference for my dentist. I currently have a molar that is loose and seems to be getting worse. I cannot wait for insurance that will not cover certain issues in the first few months.
I’m looking to change dental plans from Dental Benefits Plus to Humana One Dental. Is Humana’s Dental plan any good? or is it just a discount plan?
I am 24 and planning on getting braces for myself. I went to an consultation with an orthodontists and she quoted me 00 for ceramic braces and 4200 for metal braces, both for 2 years. They do however give a 10% discount if I pay in full. Are those prices about right or a little bit too high?
Thanks!
I’m a 20 year old deployed army reservist, and I’ll be returning home shortly. I recently found out I will need my wisdom teeth out, and plan on getting Invisalign treatment to straighten my teeth. I guess the wisdom teeth will have to come out first. Anyone have any insight on what I can do as far as insurance? Tri-care sucks, and I wouldn’t mind getting a discount on orthodontic treatment after my wisdom teeth are out…
I was just recently dropped off my fathers insurance plan. I am currently 23 and have a lot of major dental work that needs to be done. I’ve gone online in search of dental insurance in new jersey, but it seems non existent. All they have available are discounts programs. These programs are not insurance. It seems know one offers dental insurance to individuals in NJ. My job does not either, and without some I’m in big trouble. Can anyone help me?? Thanks
I have alot of dental work, probably dentures or implants I need to find a cheap dental plan for alabama any suggestions ?
