Hi, I am going for implant dentistry.. can any one tell me how long it will take to complete the dental implant treatment???
and how pain full it is?

My teeth are moving into the gap. I have the choice of having a dental implant, or drilling two perfectly healthy teeth to make a bridge. I am slightly dental phobic and would not cope well with lots of pain during either procedure.

Which one should I choose?
Thanks all. Costs are unimportant. I would rather have a healthy mouth long term. Just concerned at the pain during insertion..I don’t numb up well on the lower jaw (maybe should have mentioned that!)

I had received a dental implant a week ago and wanna go snowboarding this week, is it too early?

i just had a dental implant and it has been 1 and a half months.Plus i smoke.i recently quit because of the dental implant and i started again a week before.While i was brushing there was little bleeding near the implant does this indicate a failure? The second stage of the implant is in February should i quit ? and start again in February? Please help me i am worried.

Dental implants,bone/gum implants etc. seem to be good alternatives to dentures. However, if the process takes 18 months from start to finish, isn’t that process a bit long?Teeth have to be removed for the implant.What happens to the appearance while one is waiting for a new smile?Wouldn’t it be expensive too? What is the axerage price range/cost?
Nobody has really answered the question about appearance.Why should someone assume that because I ask the question I am interested in a dental implant? People like to weigh options; and sometimes an answer to another question stimulates a burning question.I am ever learning.If I were getting dental work done it would be outside the USA so that the price would not compound the pain!

I know a regular dental implant costs about 3200$ (total cost with crown) but I heard dental schools have cheaper prices.Anyone knows how much is it and are the students reliable?Do they perform under the supervision of an experienced dentist? Is there a dental school in Tampa?

I just had a dental implant done last week and once it is healed I will be having the crown placed. Two questions…does dental insurance typically cover the crown placement? and how soon after the implant will I know if my body rejects it?
And before you say it i have reviewed my plan benefits and know that crowns are covered at 50%…just want to know if anyone had issues getting an implant crown approved?
