I’m thinking about doing a carrer in dentist but I want to know how much it cost. Plus, how long?

I have not been to the dentist in years because of a bad experience. Since then I have had 2 back teeth chip and now begin to decay. About half of each tooth is gone. I know that I need to go in and have them fixed but I figured it would cost too much without insurance. My question is whether anyone knows how much a visit like mine would cost.

I’m such a sissy when it comes to going to the dentists (my palms are getting hot and sweaty now just thinking about it) and the option of being knocked out through the whole procedure seems Sooooo appealing..but I don’t think my insurance will cover it, so, I’m wondering how much I should expect to pay..?

I already have a retainer, but it’s not a tray style. How much do you think my orthodontist would charge for a whitening tray? I have the Opalescene whitening gel already - my mom used it.

Afterthought: How many years does it take to become a true dentist & not an assistant?

I am looking for a school that is needing patients in the weatherford/fort worth area and surrounding areas. I am needing to get my wisdom teeth pulled. It is the most painfull thing in the world and I do not have insurance.
