I came home from the dentists, and my teeth hurt a ton. I talked to my friend, and she said it was because when they polish your teeth, they are removing the top layer. Is that true, and why?

I’ve got Cigna Dental Insurance with my company and I’m trying to find a good dentist in my area. San Jose / Fremont , CA area to be exact. Anybody know of any websites I can go to to research review Dentists?
I’m working for a dental savings service, which is similar to a preffered provider organization. Basically we have dentists sign up with us and agree to give our members 30% off on dental costs. This is mutually beneficial because dentists get more customers and give them the 30% they’d give the customer anyway if they had insurance, and our members save money. We are working to expand this to Los angeles. What is the best way to approach a dentist to joining our provider list.
It seems a little odd to me that they do, but my dentist does. Any particular reason?
Oh, funny story, so I’d been measuring my BP every day for a while because it was getting a little high, and then went to the dentist. My BP was averaging, 127/77 or so. At the dentists office it was 150/93. Think I have a little anxiety at the dentists office?
I had two fillings done, both on the sides in the space between two teeth However, there is no space between the teeth, so I cannot floss. Is it hard for dentists to make a little bit of space for floss to get through? Should I get it fixed?
I know teeth shift around a lot, should I just let them shift and make space there?
I want to know how much a dentist (preferably pediatric) can expect to make in London. I am curious about NHS dentists and private practitioners.
I am interested in being a dentist and starting my own practice but I worry about costs. How much money will I actually take home after paying quarterly, insurance, equipment, rent, staff, etc? How much will I need to bill my patients in order to pay off all the above and still make good money? Basically, how do dentists manage overhead and still take home 0,000?
I am looking to get a set of upper dentures to replace several missing teeth and some type of replacement for a lower missing tooth. However, most dentists automatically want to charge a fee for X-rays when all I want is an explanation of options and an estimate on what it would cost. Certainly X-rays aren’t required for that. Like most Americans I don’t have dental insurance and even if I did most coverages don’t cover cosmetic work.
I’m doing this project for Statistics where I have to contact dentists and ask them a Yes or No question.
Do you have any idea how I could find a large sample of dentists and email/call them to survey them?
Thanks!
Each visit, one infected tooth taken out? Ive been dying to leave the life of unhealthy teeth,so I
started to go to the dentists daily and lately. But since I have a lot of infected teeth in my mouth,
I was wondering if I could get each one out one by one each visit to the dentists.
Is this possible?
