Dental insurance question?
I live in the State of Washington and my employer does not offer Dental insurance until march 2010 . I need a root canal and extraction done on a few teeth it’s at the emergency level . Is it possibly to purchase an individual plan from some insurance company just so I can get in the door . 99% of dentists won’t even talk to you without insurance and I don’t blame them . I don’t care if I end up paying 1000’s of dollars I just need to get the work done does anyone know an insurance like this and if so will generally a dentist accept it and do the work and take payments ? Sorry if this makes little sense im in a lot of pain .

The problem you may have with some dental Insurance that are PPO’s and or Indemnity’s plans is that they normally will have probationary periods on certain procedures that last up to a year or more. This will not help you with your current issues.
You may want to think about getting a dental discount plan. They normally start the next business day from signing up. They have low monthly cost and will help reduce your dental costs. You can also cancel at any time with a 30 written notice to the plan carrier. That would be a good thing for you since you will be getting dental insurance though your job when it comes up.
I have listed a link for your review see if it is something that can help =)

If you have a dental school in your area you can get the work done cheaper. Talk to the dentist and see if you can make payments…some will and some won’t.
Some dentist office will set up a payment plan for you.
OR some offices accept what’s called Care Credit. Care credit is like a credit card that’s for dental work. My parents applied for it and was approved right then and there at the dentist office. If you don’t want another credit card bill, just call a dentist that you want to go to and ask if they will let you make payments.
I would encourage you to visit this great website: http://www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago and they have saved me thousands of dollars on all of my dental needs. From extractions, xrays, fillings, root canals…etc. They even had my very affordable benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use them the very same day. Good luck and Hope this helps
Well
I have a dental plan that has over 40,000 dentists and yours may be a part of that network.
You can check your area by zip code to find a dentist or just call yours to see.

As far as your emergency you can use this plan in three minutes just find the emergency link on the bottom of the home page.
The best part is you don’t have to wait and there are no limits on usage or visits ( no cap )
For payments most dentists use Care Credit or some other form of payment structure although a few may accept payments on good faith but rather doubtful.
You may also see a full fee schedule when searching the site for your area. That way you can see the price of the procedures needed.
I wish you luck.
