Not true that no insurance covers braces - in fact some do. There are many health consequences to having misaligned teeth.
There are no plans you can buy as an indivdual to help with braces. The only way an insurance company can make money is to pay out less than they take in. If you go to them and say, "I want coverage for braces." it would be like going to an auto insurance company and saying: "I need auto insurance because I plan to total my car."
There is no way you can pay premiums of say $500 and get coverage for $5000 worth of ortho.
Your best bet for braces coverage (25%-60% reduction in price) is
eHealthPlus. Also covers other procedures that Delta Dental
leaves out.
I don’t think orthodontics are covered under any plan. Braces are more of a cosmetic thing than a health related thing. I know my parents never had coverage for my braces or my brother.
I don’t know of any. I paid full price for mine - $4,475.00. It was worth the time and money. I believe all orthodontists will work out a payment plan. Good luck - don’t put it off.
