How to clear credit record? Small disputed dentist bill still shows delinquent.?
I have contacted the dentist’s collection agency. Wrote them a letter expaining that the bill is covered by insurance, I was told that they will look into it, never heard from them. All this happened 4-5 years ago it is showing up on my CR now. Any suggestion how to effectively fix this problem?

you need to follow up with your insurance and have proof from them, that this bill was paid. if they don’t pay - you are still responsible for this bill. if this bill is not paid yet and you need to apply for mortgage- try to pay this bill on the last moment, because it will hurt your credit. if you don’t care - don’t pay and wait 3-4 more years and this will be removed from your credit( 7 years is the statue of limitation in most states)

If its so small, just pay it. I know personally it sucks when you shouldn’t have to pay, but whats worse… bad credit or paying some small fee to some jerk faces.
Equifax can clear that up. Provided you can show them proof that the problem has been resolved on your end you should have no probelms.
