   Humana Dental is not just a discount plan. It is actual dental insurance, although like a lot of insurance plans, they have "preferred" providers, where you pay less.

   But no one here can tell you exactly whether the plan you could get from them is good, not so good, or not worth the money. It depends on too many things. What is covered? (Do you need an implant? Many dental insurance plans exclude that, but some cover it.) Are you getting the insurance through work, and, if so, is your company contributing to the premiums? That makes it a better deal. What is the max they will pay in a year? Is there a maximum lifetime benefit? Etc., etc.
