I am looking for affordable dental & vision insurance, I am in California. Any suggestions?? THANKS!

Does anyone have Blue Cross & Blue Shield of New Jersey Dental coverage? I need to get info on the pros & cons of the BCBS Centurion plan and the BCBS Horizon Dental Choice Insurance. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

medical = 0 deductible each person/00 fam., . copays for reg.doctor visits, copays for specialists.

vision = copays for exam & corrective wear

rx = generic/ brand name.

dental = free cleanings , then you pay 20%, they pay 80% on most things.

I’m a school teacher in a rural Nevada county. You’d think a group plan with my employer would be the best thing, but I’m not sure.

I need some dental work done & am just now able to apply for insurance, up until now I had been looking at discount dental/vision plans… is it acceptable to use both at once?

I am in need of some pretty major denatl work, however i have no insurance. I see these plans on the web specifically the ge wellness plan for dental only. the rates seem to be great but it also makes me question whether or not its too good to be true. they also list many dentists in my area with their addresses and phone numbers so it seems that it may be legit.. but im still weary.

anyone ever actually use one of these discount plans for dental and found it actually does it they claim?? i had a root canal done on another tooth last yer that i paid out of pocket and there is absolutely no way i can afford that again right now.

forgot to mention* ive tried to apply for care credit and i was rejected. and pretty much every dentist ive called around my area doesnt do payment plans now im desperate. this is my last resort

I just finished 90 days at Walgreen’s & doing my benefits, they said I have to wait A YEAR to be employed for dental coverage. (my medical is already done & I have a card) Is this legal because this is BULLSH*T!!!
I have worked for Aetna, Pitney Bowes, & now Walgreen’s. And I have had to wait only 90 days. This is the first time It has to be a YEAR!

DentalPlans.com seems to have some decent plans… but I think they are the discount cards. Around 0 a year for family plans that seem to cover about the same percentages as my dental helth insurance. Example..
Insurance: 50$ a month. 80% copay after 6mo waiting period on most everything minor & 50%copay on major w/ an 18mo waiting period.
Card: Pretty decent savings a filling is only 50$ (regular 120) & no waiting..
WWYD?

Ok, here there is no dental school close to where I reside.BUT, there is a school for medical & dental assistants and technicians. Would it be safe to get work done at this kind of school?
