i spent 8 years in a bad place, without any dental care and now i’m paying the price for it. i need major dental work… implants/bridge work. does anyone out there have any advice? I know it’s a long shot.. it’s just that i’m barely making it as it is..

Im trying to see that if Health care also includes dental care. I hadnt been to the dentist for years since it was too expensive. I am writing a paper and I need something that I can relate to the health care discussion.

I am currently out of work with no dental insurance. I am seeking other options for my dental care since I have been feeling a bit of sensitivity in two of my molars. These molars have fillings already and I was told I may need a crown. I looked into dental plans, but I am not sure if they are reputable plans to "buy". Also, is it worth it? Plans I have looked at are dental plans by Aetna, Delta Dental, etc. If I need a crown for example, it says I will pay a copay of 400 and above depending on treatments. My question is, is a dental plan something I should be looking into or are there other options

I have a deep cavity in my tooth. It’s really starting to hurt me. I know it needs drilled and filled, but I barely make enough money to pay bills, let alone dental care. My job doesn’t offer dental insurance, either. Is there anything I can do?

I am trying to help a friend out who lives in South Carolina she needs dental care but I cant find any social service organizations to help her ,they denied her for Medicaid ,are there any more options in south Carolina to help a very low income person get dental care?

I need some work on my teeth like really bad. The dental portion of my health insurance was eliminated last year but I can’t afford dental insurance on its on. And the cheapest plan offered doesnt cover anything and I would be out of pocket more than I’m paying for it. I don’t qualify for any medicaids (this state doesn’t cover adult dental care) and I would really like to save the few teeth I have left. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

My husband hasn’t been to a dentist since he was 12 or 13 and he is now 22. I would like to take him to the dentist to have his teeth checked and cleaned with the possibility of fillings and of course he’ll need X-rays. I was wondering what the average cost of dental care is if you would go to a dental school program? We live in West Virginia and are looking to go to the WVU School of Dentistry. We also do not have any health insurance. Thanks for your help.

As far as out of pocket expenses. Is there anything I should know? I need to get 2 cavities filled, one crown and two wisdom teeth removed.

Isnt dental care a right too in America? Seems like it should be if health care is a right.

I would like to buy some insurance that I can use for health and dental care for a small price. How can I find some that is not expensive or more than 0?

Since the health insurance that I have doesn’t cover dental and I’m not able to afford separate dental insurance, I haven’t been to a dentist in three years. Is there is a cheap way to get dental care without getting a cheap dentist that will do a crappy job?

Is dental care a "right" too?

Are you disappointed that Obama isn’t pushing for that?

I’m getting by on a min wage, part time job….However, we really need dental care. Does anybody know of a good company to look into?
Also, if it makes a difference, I live in Southern California.

as good as getting dental care from a regular dental clinic and getting worked on by experienced dentists, especially when it comes to cleanings and filling cavities? I know it is more affordable to have student dentists work on me, but is it just as good? Where I go, they do have experienced dentist supervising everyone.

I had all four wisdom teeth out four days ago at a free event here in Iowa for anyone who needed dental care. Obviously, there’s no follow-up. If I were to get dry-socket, how much would it cost for me to go to a dentist and have them pack it, or whatever?
Thanks!

My friend is missing 4 of her front teeth from an accident. She uses a denture sort of thing, where it is removable. Obviously, I do not know much about dental care, so I need some help with this. About how much does it cost to get something like what she has for four front teeth? About how much does it cost to get four permanent teeth put in?

I live in Alabama and my husband has just been diagnosed with heart failure. He has weak and missing teeth and that makes it difficult for him to eat the vegetables and fruits that he should include in his diet. Due to his medical condition he is unable to take ibuprofen for the pain that his teeth cause. If anyone could tell us how he can get the dental care that he is in dire need of we would greatly appreciate it.Or if you can suggest a method of pain relief that would not be harmful to a man with congestive heart failure , that would be helpful. Thank You.
He has signed up for medicaid but it could be up to six months before he gets a decision on whether or not he gets it.

I want to confirm if I have a health insurance can I claim for dental care also?

Hello,

I am a FT college student who also works FT that doesn’t have a lot of money. I don’t have medical or dental, but am in need of dental work (cavities, root canal, etc.) and even if I could afford the insurance plans out there, they don’t cover much if anything.

I have searched the internet over and over but can’t find anything that leads me to a phone number for low income dental care for people like me. I keep finding stuff that states that the programs exist here, but no names or contact information.
