I am 20 years old and make about 0/week (bi-weekly checks vary from about 0-520 after taxes).
I am in desperate need of health insurance and I badly need dental coverage. This is horrible, but I need at least 5 fillings maybe more. I have weak enamel and I am prone to cavities.
As you can tell I don’t make a hell of a lot of money (and I work almost every day, but of course my hours were recently cut because the owner decided to hire a family member and pay them twice as much to sit on their *** and tell me to do the stuff I already do on my own initiative, then ***** that payroll is too high)
I have to pay car insurance and constant car repairs until I can just replace it with one that won’t need so much tlc and money. This makes it pretty hard to save when I keep on paying to fix things.
I have a phone bill to pay as well and I do not have a house phone so it is necessary to keep in touch with family and work.
Please help me figure out how to get the best coverage possible that will be affordable on a teeny budget. I really am in desperate need.
to make things even worse, my wisdom teeth are coming in and messing with my teeth and ruining all the work and money from my braces
THANKS SO MUCH!
I dont know what to do its killing me that this is happening
please help
I have my own little freelance job that I do for cash. I’m not married and not a student, so I find myself without any medical or dental coverage. I’m just looking for coverage for gynological care (once per year), maybe a regular check-up (once per year), and prescription coverage if possible. And, if I’m really lucky, I’d like dental to be able to have a cleaning every 6 months. I’ve tried looking online but I don’t know what or where most of the "insurance companies" are and if they are real or even trustworthy. I am not a registered business nor do I make loads of cash, but I do not want to go on welfare of any sort. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks!

I really need to see a dentist, but being a single mom with no dental coverage I can’t really afford one. I am barely getting by as it is. I make sure my kids see their dentist on a regular basis (they have insurance) because I don’t want them to be ashamed of their teeth, like I am. I am willing to make payments, but currently can only afford small payments (maybe .00/month). I am not looking for a free ride. Most dentists can’t or won’t accept that small amount for the amount of work I need done. I feel so ashamed that I don’t smile like I used to.
My jaw is killing me, I have no dental coverage or money to see a dentist, I have broad spectrum anti-biotics and my jaw is just terribly painful. I’m on lortab and oxycodone for my back and have been using that for the jaw as well with little or no relief. No pain in my teeth or sign of any tooth infection, absess etc. how would I go about seein someone for this with no money. My dr said the jaw is a dental issue and I cannot find anywhere I can do payment plans for the whole visit in PA. what could this be. My friend is a dental assistant and said it may be from grinding but its throbbing and I can feel my pulse in it which to me seems like infection. Please anyone with any help would be greatly appriciated
first off this isnt about my back or diet, i eat only whole foods and no meat but protien suppliments so it is not related to diet please only relivent answers
I have CIGNA PPO and an annual dental max limit of 00 - yes, it sucks. I need to get (2) D2740, D6750 and D6240 but clearly it is WAY over the max amount allowed. Has anyone ever asked their HR to increase dental coverage and how did you do this? Or has anyone ever appealed their dental company after something like this was performed? It is major restorative, but the insurance and HR might consider it as cosmetic, but I hate the way my teeth look and it’s really affecting the way I am.
Any serious answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I currently live in Canada, Ontario to be exact. I have just recently lost my job and wasn’t covered by dental coverage anyway. But over the past while I had a tooth that rotted due to me having soft teeth in my mouth and at first it didn’t really bother me to be honest but it just broke in half and now every time I move my tongue it hurts more than sin itself.
I tried OW (Ontario Works), which is assistance, to see if their dental coverage could at least get the tooth removed properly and the infection in my gums dealt with (Also, the tooth is a small molar) and to no avail. I’ve been trying to find a job and also considered seeing if a dentist around here would take installments so I could just go on assistance and pay for it that way to no avail on either.
It’s starting to get irritating, extremely irritating, that it’s this hard to get some basic dental work done. I’m about ready to start doing some terrible things to what most would consider good people.
Anyone have any answers that can help?

I need to get my husband dental coverage as soon as possible. We’ve been meaning to get around to getting him dental insurance but have put it off. He has a horrible, horrible pain and needs a root canal.
How likely is it to find insurance that will get coverage the next day or next few days?? Anybody know any dental insurance like this?
What is the cost of getting a molar root canal without insurance?
Does anyone know of anycheap dental coverage for NC? I need root canal and crown work done and got an estimate of 00 from my dentist. I want to know if theres a plan where i dont have to wait a yr to get coverage on these major procedures? thanks
What are the benefits for a health savings account if I already have medical and dental coverage?
Just a quick general knowledge question. Someone at work here is questioning our dental plan becuase she needs a root canal. I personally rarely use the health or dental coverage. I was under the impression that most dental plans paid a percentage of the cost of dental work up to a predetermined out of pocket amount for the insured. For example, the insured may have to pay 60% of the cost of dental work during the year up to a total out of pocket expense of ,500, after that , all is covered. Someone else at work is saying it is the opposite. The insurance co. will pay their percentage up to a predetermined amount and then it’s all on the insured. How are most policies structured?
I am trying to find an online resource for Walmart’s dental coverage for my brother. I’m able to find NOTHING. Can anyone assist?
Again, I am looking for an ONLINE RESOURCE.
I cant get medicaid, or medicare, so where can I get really cheap health and dental coverage? I am poor so I cant afford to pay Altot, but I need to see a doctor, and a dentist, and soon! Any help would be great!
One of my wisdom teeth is coming in, it comes in and then goes back into the gum and then comes back in repeatedly and thus far I’ve just dealt with the pain… but this time it hurts a little more than usual and it stinks! It doesn’t make my breath smell bad (I don’t think) but when I massage it with my finger my finger smells aweful! I don’t have dental coverage… is this something that’s going to go away or do I need to figure out how to get this thing removed?
Can you get Dental Coverage working part time at Timmy’s? I know in the US you can get health and dental coverage by working part time a Starbucks?
I work for a company that manufacutres dental products but ironically they do not offer dental coverage for my family. Is there a good affordable dental plan out there? My husband is in pain & we cannot afford a huge bill.
I live in pa and I need dental coverage. Currently, I am a stay-at-home mom. But I have recently decided I am going to start looking for a job. I am in a common law marriage. My significant other and I are going to terminate that in a few months (long story) once we get that much extra saved up. We do live together. He works, but his work does not have much of a dental plan and they didn’t opt for common law coverage when they signed with their insurance companies. But because we are common law right now, I do not qualify for medical assistance. We are paying off a loan until about the end of september so we are basically living paycheck to paycheck with a tiny bit extra just in case something come up. Anyway, my point is that I think my only other option is to purchase dental individually. Even if I found a job soon, I will have to wait at least 3 months til I can buy their coverage. So, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy coverage and how much it will cost me.
ps i am freaking a little cause I noticed one of my front teeth in between in getting a cavity. eee! I do floss just about every day, but when I was younger, I was chasing this guy friend of mine and he lived in this corner house. I chased him out the door and around the corner, but the sidewalk was unlevel and I fell onto the paved road. My two front teeth hit the ground hard. I little teensy tiny rocks stuck into the surfaces of them. I got the rocks removed, but my teeth remain with a small gap between them since then. This pushed them into the ones next to each and one of them is the one that is getting the cavity on it. I know it’s cause they are pushed together and I wish I had the money for whatever I need to do to fix the space and crowding too, but I haven’t. Anyway, if anyone knows what I will end up having to have done to fix that as well, please share the info!
sry forgot to say that I live in Luzerne County Pennsylvania (northeast)
Canada had a huge surplus in money this year, why doesn’t it start a new dental care plan so that everyone can have dental coverage without having to pay ass loads of money themselves or to insurance companies?
It’s stupid because so many sicknesses and diseases are linked to dental hygiene and maintenance, why wouldn’t they implement dental care as a preventative sickness measure to help us Canadians maintain good health?
This outrages me so much.
I just found a cavity forming on my bottom right wisdom tooth. I’m freaking out because 1 I take good care of my teeth and 2 I have no dental coverage and can’t afford to pay to have it fixed. I can’t even afford to do payments… What can I do??
I am in desperate need to have my wisdom teeth pulled. I have some cracked teeth due to the wisdom teeth pushing them. I don’t have any dental coverage just some kind of dental discount plan that hardly covers it at all. I was told it would cost me ,300 for the four teeth plus whatever other charges the dentist will charge. I can’t afford it right now due to a large hostiptal bill. It’s become very hard to try and balance everything out and to try to save up for it and the rate I’m going it could be a year. My state(MD) doesn’t offer anything at the health department and the school is just as bad plus I’ve heard some bad experiences from the school. I’m going to a dentist in a week who was really good about the price he’ll charge me. It’s only for the exam, x-rays, and a cleaning but even that it took me a month to save up for. Is there any charities that anyone can tell me about. I don’t need another dental discount plan I can’t afford to pay for it. Please only serious response
I know that many countries provide public-funded health care coverage to most/all citizens. But do any of these health care programs include dental coverage?
Tooth decay and gum disease is bad for your general health, will there be dental coverage included in the proposed plan?
