I am currently out of work with no dental insurance. I am seeking other options for my dental care since I have been feeling a bit of sensitivity in two of my molars. These molars have fillings already and I was told I may need a crown. I looked into dental plans, but I am not sure if they are reputable plans to "buy". Also, is it worth it? Plans I have looked at are dental plans by Aetna, Delta Dental, etc. If I need a crown for example, it says I will pay a copay of 400 and above depending on treatments. My question is, is a dental plan something I should be looking into or are there other options

I’m having an issue with a capped tooth (uggggggggh!) and need to sign up for the insurance you get through Tricare. I think its Concordia? I’ve heard that its not the best dental plan and was wondering if those who have used it think its worth it? If people wouldn’t mind sharing their experiences that’d be great!
I’m and Active Duty dependent.
Thanks!
I need quite a bit of work on my teeth and a little bit of what may be considered cosmetic. Will having a dental plan on top of my insurance actually make a difference and help financially with the bill? (Considering of course that the dentist actually accepts both my insurance and plan)
i’m looking for a good dental insurance company that i can purchase a dental plan….something affor dable because i will be paying out of pocket for now.

Top ten family dental plan in Texas
my family needs to finsd a dental plan where we can all be seen whenever we need and then are billed by the dentist after the dentist has billed the insurance. this day in age who can really afford to pay all upfont for dental care, esspecially when your broke and all the sudden you need a root canal and are in pain any suggestions?
I asked this question before and the answers I got were not helpful at all. If I really can’t afford to get regular dental care, then I definitely can’t afford to go to Mexico. There are no dental schools in my area so, that is out. Unfortunately, my insurance has no dental plan and I need some work done. I’m starting to feel pain in my back tooth.
Can anyone give me a helpful answer and tell me where I can get good, affordable dental care? Keep in mind I am on a very low income and, most insurance companies won’t accept me.
does anyone know of a good dental plan that will help me save money?? i live in California.
I do not have dental insurance, and two of my wisdom teeth are comming in. I have a limited amount of money to put towards a dental plan and the cost of the surgery. Does anyone have one of those low cost dental plans they have advertised online? They sound good, but you know some things are just too good to be true. I just need to do something before the pain becomes unbarable.
I’m thinking about getting "My Simple Card" for a dental plan. It seems to good to be true. Is it?
I need braces and my husband has to get his wisdom teeth pulled, so we want a family dental plan. I’m looking for one with good coverage so i don’t have to pay over 0 a month for braces. Any advice?
I live in St Louis Missouri and I have Health insurance coverage from Aetna, but I don’t have any dental plan. What is the best dental plan?
Does anyone out there have more than one dental plan for themselves? I need some work done that one plan can’t get done at a reasonable price. Does anyone have more than one? WIll the two plans try and force me to drop the other?
I’m looking for a dental plan for college students. I’m on Medicare and Medicaid but they don’t cover dental. I also am on a very limited income and need something I can afford. Any help is appreciated. I live in Louisiana
Group insurance is high, and yet they are better then private, I just cant afford it. I would like to find a coverage that was relatively cheaper, that will cover pre exst. cond. and somewhat PPO.
IS there such a dental plan out there?
Well i went to the dentist yesterday and he needs to remove a previous crown and re clean a root canal and insert a new crown. The cost is around ,200 which i cannot afford. Is there any dental plan i can buy that will take effect right away which is affordable somewhat and with good benefits? I plan on using the plan maybe a week after I purchase it so i dont know if that will be a problem with these dental plan providers.
I’ve never even had a cavity before but my tooth hurts when i bite down and I’m pretty sure it’s a cavity. I have a great new dental plan but it doesn’t go into affect for another whole month. What should I do? Should I pay the whole amount for the cavity filling or whatever…or should I tough it out? I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to get them taken care of or they get a lot worse, right?
I just signed up for Avai dental plan and on the member card it says This is not insurance. It is a reduced fee plan. That scared the heck out of me.
Does that mean I need to PURCHASE insurance first in order to use this reduced fee plan?? PLEASE HELP!!
Just a quick general knowledge question. Someone at work here is questioning our dental plan becuase she needs a root canal. I personally rarely use the health or dental coverage. I was under the impression that most dental plans paid a percentage of the cost of dental work up to a predetermined out of pocket amount for the insured. For example, the insured may have to pay 60% of the cost of dental work during the year up to a total out of pocket expense of ,500, after that , all is covered. Someone else at work is saying it is the opposite. The insurance co. will pay their percentage up to a predetermined amount and then it’s all on the insured. How are most policies structured?
I am looking for a good dental plan and could use some help finding a good provider,if you know of any let me know please
I was wondering, is it possible to use 2 dental plans to cover the cost of braces? My moms dental plan covers 50% of the cost, and my dads dental plan covers 50% of the cost, the 2 plans are from different companies.
I live in Canada and I am 15 years old
If I can only use 1 plan, is there any other way to lower the cost of braces? I don’t think my parents can afford them right now, though im not sure.
