I’m trying to find a New York dental plan that covers all-ceramic dental crowns. Note that I am not looking for dental insurance, but for an individual dental plan.

Looking thru various dental plans, I have seen that porcelain crowns with a metal base are covered, but I just can’t seem to find a plan that covers all-ceramic.

Is this because all-ceramic crowns are considered cosmetic?

And, to be specific, when I say "cover," of course I mean "discount" because this is what dental plans offer.

Many thanks for your help!

I am a 41 year-old otherwise healthy female in need of urgent dental care assistance.

I was recently told by my dentist that the cost of repairing my teeth would be about .000. This includes five implants and twenty dental units. I am a self-employed single parent. All of the dental plans I have looked into, indicate a cap of around 00 - 00 per year. This means that even if I were to obtain dental insurance, it would only cover about 3% of the total cost. I do not qualify for any kind of state or federal aid as I make enough money to live on. However, I cannot make enough to pay for this treatment.

Before visiting my current dentist, I paid almost .000 to another dentist whose work was so bad almost everything he made broke within a year. I trust my current dentist’s diagnosis and treatment plan. I just do not have the money to pay for it.

Does anyone know of organizations or individual(s) who could help?

I had one and it was totally useless. Not dental Insurance. Dental Plans, Where you might pay .00 to .00 to start and then pay - per month. I paid for over a year and I went to the dentist. I then called other dentist and told them that I had no insurance or plan and got prises -0 lessthan my plan. What a rip off.

Looking online, I see that most Dental Insurance "Max Annual Benefit" is typically 1500 per year. I recently was told that I may need some dental surgery that will cost an upward of 6000. Since Dental bills are so outrageous, are the any dental plans that cover a procedure of this magnitude, or are most people stuck with paying most of the bill out of pocket? I’ve never had dental insurance, so please excuse the ignorance. Thanks :)

Many dental insurance or dental plans do not offer coverage for white composite fillings except for front teeth. If I needed fillings repaired or new ones, I only want composite, non mercury based fillings. Any direction on plan type or specific companies to look at that are cost effective is appreciated? Thanks.

My dad has the opportunity to change my 9 year old brother’s dental insurance. He was wanting to get opinions if anyone has (or has had) any of these. His choices are: Atlantic Dental, CompBenefits, MCNA Dental Plans, and UnitedHealthcare Dental.

I live in Central Valley Ca and I have no dental insurance I cant afford any dental plans I desperately need dental work done, my front tooth is missing. I am 24 and I don’t smile that much and don’t talk to a lot of people because I am insecure about my mouth. Does anyone know where I can get low cost dental work done in close to where I live?

I need to see a dentist about a toothache I’ve had since December. I lost my job and benefits last September. I can’t afford to pay a dentist cash. I do have a small reserve, though, and want to know if the discount dental plans out there really help to save money? I don’t want to get insurance because the premium will be more expensive than just walking into a dentist’s office and paying cash.

I am currently out of work with no dental insurance. I am seeking other options for my dental care since I have been feeling a bit of sensitivity in two of my molars. These molars have fillings already and I was told I may need a crown. I looked into dental plans, but I am not sure if they are reputable plans to "buy". Also, is it worth it? Plans I have looked at are dental plans by Aetna, Delta Dental, etc. If I need a crown for example, it says I will pay a copay of 400 and above depending on treatments. My question is, is a dental plan something I should be looking into or are there other options

I have done some research and have decided againt Ameriplan and am leaning towards AVIA, Careington Care, or Unicare. Does anyone have these Dental plans and used and are they good or another legitimate dental care plan that is good?
