I can’t afford my dental procedure (and it needs to be done as soon as possible). Is there any kind of dental insurance that could help me substantially?
If one was to have dental insurance and under went a dental procedure could he work out a payment plan with his dentist, instead of paying the lump some all at once?
If you had a dental procedure and your insurance covered it, but the dentist still made you pay out of pocket, shouldn't the dentist inform the patient immediatley once the insurance company reimburses them? Shouldn't the patient know that he/she has a credit? Is it normal for them to not tell you and just apply it to your next appointment without your knowledge?
IRS is auditing my return. They seem to reject this one medical payment. Are they correct? I know that a CC statement is not enough, but the bill had the dental procedure on it. All other bills paid with checks were allowed even without a dentist's statement. How do I tell the IRS auditor that he goofed?
I have dental insurance through WellPoint Dental Services. I needed a dental procedure and my dentist filed it and I received an approval/precertification from WellPoint in the mail. It said the insurance would pay 4 of the procedure. I had the procedure 4/25/2007. I paid my dentist in full (that's how he does it) and have been trying to collect the 4 ever since. I have called the insurance co and am always told it is in process. I have written 2 letters with a copy of the precertification to the address on my card and have had no response. On 7/18/2997, a rep said that it had been misfiled, but it would be sent to claims immediately and that all the necessary info was there. I have received no response to my letters, no check. What should I do now?? That procedure was 00 and I could really use the 4. Thanks for any help!
