Hi,

I need help in writing a donation letter for my son whom is 5 years old. He is in need of major dental work in which is limited by are health insurance coverage. The donations will be directed to his dentist in c/o my son. The donation letter will be directed to local business’s and church’s in the area.

Thank you for your help.

My 24 year old son is in desperate need of dental work. I cannot find a dentist who will see him. I have dental insurance, but medicaid will pay for his dental if the dentist feels its medically necessary to put him in the hospital. I am a single mother of 2 autistic sons and am struggling to make sure all their needs are met. They are both in a group home and they have not found a dentist either. Oprah, please help me find someone with patience, compassion and understanding who is willing to work on special needs people and willing to fix and restore his teeth. I know you are a very sweet and compassionate woman with a big heart. I am all my sons have and I just want to help my son. Please help me find a dentist…….Thank you, Mary

I Am Needing Over 00.00 Worth Of Dental Work Done. I’m A Stay At Home So I Do Not Have A Dental Insurance But My Husband Makes To Much For Us To Qualify For Medicaid. Is CHIP Just For Children Or Would I Be Able To Get It. I’m Currently 21 Years Of Age. And I Have Spoken To Many Insurance Company’s And It Wont Be Worth An Individual Plan Because They Only Cover So Much.
Or Is There Any Other Programs That Could Help Me Pay?

I used to wear braces, but accidentally threw out the retainers soon after I had them removed. My teeth have gone crooked again and I can’t afford braces (as well as a lot of other dental work I need to the point I NEVER smile with an open mouth). Is there something I can do like tighten a wire around my teeth every night that could kind of at least make a difference and straighten my teeth a little?

I am looking for a place to get good cheap dental work.

I am planning to go there for some dental work but the only info I can find is on their website. If anyone has been there I would like to know about your experience.

I am 60 yrs old and have high blood pressure. My spouse is 62 and smokes. Under COBRA, we would pay 6 a month for medical and dental. That coverage started in February but I have until May to decide if I want COBRA or not. At this point, if I choose COBRA, I have to pay for the months of February and March which have already passed. It’s a federal law which makes no sense. But anyway, that’s 72 out the window. Am I better off using my money to get individual health insurance? My concern is that I don’t know how having high blood pressure and my spouse being a smoker will affect things. Also, I recently had some dental work done and told them they may have to file a claim through COBRA if I do get it. The billing lady told me that they have problems with billing to COBRA because it’s taking COBRA 60 to 90 days to pay a claim which will incur interest for the patient. Has anyone experienced this? I’m just so confused about all this. I’d appreciate any advice.

Over the years I have paid for plenty of dental work. Root canals that failed, extractions..when I had the money I paid for it myself. At this time I have no dental insurance and am unemployed. My dental issues are affecting my health so badly that some days I can barely function. I am beyond extractions and need an oral surgeon. The problem is that they all want a pay as you go plan. Really and how do I do that if I am unemployed?..There is no dental Medicaid for my age group. And though I am currently seeking employment I can honestly say that days have I missed from my previous job were due to my teeth causing me health issues. I have been trying to jump through hoops to get help with this and I feel like its all about money. Last year an er doctor even wrote in my follow up paperwork that I can and will die from the abscesses I have if I do not get into an oral surgeon. Do oral surgeons not follow the same guidelines as doctors when it comes to helping people?…I would think they would want to save people not stand at the door and slam it in your face if you don’t have cash even if it is life threatening..I am going to die from heart disease oe something from this crap all because I am..poor. Also it is almost a year later and I still have infections in my mouth I am tired of going to er’s and clinics for antibiotics and they are tired of seeing me. If I had a dime for every time they told me to get to an oral surgeon I would be rich and have dentures by now.

I traveled alot before retirering on a fixed income that dosen’t allow USA dental work prices.
