i am looking for individual dental insurance in florida that would cover most of the cost for braces and other common services, any reccomendations?

I am a college student, and currently covered under my parents’ dental plan. I need to get all of my wisdom teeth extracted, and I found out that I possibly also need 3 root canals. My insurance only covers 00 per year. I don’t want to put off this work, but I don’t think I can afford this. Would getting my own individual dental insurance plan help? What plans are good, and what is a decent price/yr for an individual plan?

I have MCHA Medica insurance, but it doesn’t have dental option.
Now my teaeth need to be cleaned and I have couple of fillings done and painful tooth under croun.
It is expensive to buy individual dental insurance(I am unemployed, not merried).
Plans that give discount do not have providers dentists in my area. NO, they are there but I am afraid to go to them, because they take lots of people, give discount, but do not give good quality.
Ameriplan doesn’t have provideres in my area at all. I do not have car, so.YOu think I should switch
to some other insurance that will give me the option of plan where dental and health issues are covered.

I am a college student and I need to have a lot of work done on my tooth, My teeth are in atrocious condition and lately I have not been able to get through a meal without extreme pain, I have already had two root canals done which I paid for out of pocket, (0 each) that did not include caps so those teeth are still uncapped. I still need to have about 3 root canals done which will also need to be capped and my wisdom teeth remove. What should I do? Is there individual dental insurance, I have no dental school near me. I have tried to figure out any way I would be able to pay for it and it just doesn’t seem possible. Does anyone have an ideas? I am in serious pain

All 4 of my wisdom teeth are impacted - 1 is 2/3rds the way out, 1 is moving slightly and I’ve yet (knock on wood!) to have any issues with the other 2.

I was a member of Ameriplan a few years back but never had to use it because I was covered under BlueCross in which I am no longer covered under either.

Would it be best to re-register with the Ameriplan (25% discount) or an individual dental insurance (which would POSSIBLY be more beneficial depending on the coverage amount/deductible, etc.) for about the same $ monthly?

If you feel as though the individual dental insurance would be best, does anyone have any recommendations for coverage companies, etc.? Thanks!

ps- PLEASE don’t SPAM this with the Ameriplan links & false reviews!

I am looking for individual dental insurance, i want a ppo plan, i have a dentist and i don’t want to change. I have done so much research and call so many isurance companies but all they have is discount plans or hmo plans. I don’t want either, can anybody help. I’ve been to so many sites and like i said spent hours and hours on the phone talking to all these companies and am having no luck. I just want the dental and i know that i would have better luck if i combine medical and dental but right not financially that is not an option. any help would be very much appreciated!
