When I got divorced my employer offered dental insurance. I lost that job and now my new employer does not offer dental insurance. My ex says I have to have it for our daughter according to our agreement but from my understanding and individual policy in MN is impossible to get. Is this true? He also throws this fact at me when he gets unhappy with our current custody arrangement.

My job offers a PPO dental insurance plan through Blue Cross / Blue Shield (Not sure which).
Anyhow, I was told by a dentist once that if I have PPO dental through my employer I could purchase an HMO plan separate from my employer and as long as the dentist takes both it should pretty much cover any expenses over which the PPO itself wouldn’t cover.
Does anyone know if this is true and could anyone recommend insurance plans that this is compatible with? Thanks.
I live in Ontario and I got the first permanent job in my life, so I finally have benefits for once, but I don’t know how to use my health insurance and dental insurance. Do I have to pay up front then get compensated later, or will the insurance be able to immediately take care of the cost of trips to the dentist or doctor? I’m hoping the cost can be taken care of right away because I can’t afford to pay for expensive visits to the dentis up front, even if I will get the money back later. How much does the average dental check up cost in Canada because I haven’t been to one since I was a teenager? I need new glasses, so would this be covered under my insurance too? Thanks for any info, preferably from fellow Canadians.
I have an impacted wisdom tooth with cavity it and would like to know if anyone had the procedure done at any of the dental school clinic in Miami/FLL area ? What are the typical costs ? Are there any other alternatives/places to get the procedure done for cheaper ?
I am on a really tight budget. I lost my job 3 months back and don’t have insurance.
Any help or information is really appreciated.
I am starting a job that does not offer insurance and I need to purchase some for my son and I. Any suggestions?
I need to see a dentist about a toothache I’ve had since December. I lost my job and benefits last September. I can’t afford to pay a dentist cash. I do have a small reserve, though, and want to know if the discount dental plans out there really help to save money? I don’t want to get insurance because the premium will be more expensive than just walking into a dentist’s office and paying cash.
I have a deep cavity in my tooth. It’s really starting to hurt me. I know it needs drilled and filled, but I barely make enough money to pay bills, let alone dental care. My job doesn’t offer dental insurance, either. Is there anything I can do?
