I have a problem with my teeth, they are very fragile and no matter how much I brush after every meal and before bed and keep off sugary foods/drinks I am constantly breaking teeth and getting cavities. I spent K last year at the dentist trying to fix the major issues (root canals and wisdom teeth) and nipping as many of the little issues as I could afford to do. Now, I have mostly minor little issues here and there but still about another 10K in work to be done…dental is NOT CHEAP! I dont have dental insurance available to me through my job and most the companies that provide it have rules like only covering 00 in work a year. I am trying so hard to find a dental plan that would actually help me get this work done since the longer I wait to do it the more expensive its gonna get. I live in Florida and either need suggestions on dental plan providers you know to be GOOD or if there are any places in South Eastern US that you know of that provide discount dental service. THANKS!
I have the most basic plan, which I believe is Tricare Prime. I want to get my wisdom teeth pulled out and I’ve heard that it isn’t a good idea to have this done by the military as the people working on your teeth might be on the job training.
So, do I have to have Tricare Standard or Extra if I want to go to an off-base dental clinic?
Also, how is your experience with military dental clinics?
I’m active duty.
I needs to see a Dentist,no insurance and no Job. Can anyone help me with any program I can enroll in for Free so I can be seen?
I live in the Michigan Area, medicad is close for Adults if you are not pregnant! I need some help
My dental insurance ended when I had to leave my job. I need to enroll in a dental plan (not insurance) before I get some work done. Any good ideas? Im looking for affordable premiums and good savings at the dentist.
Is it typical to have to pay high out of pocket expenses for dental work even with a good ins. plan?
I have a decent dental plan (Principal Dental plan) through my job but every time I go to the dentist, they bill me about as much as they get from the insurance claim. Some people have told me they are being dishonest and others have said this is typical. My new dentist does the same procedures but I only pay a small amount (20 or so) on a 0.00 bill. I know with MD bills, we don't have to pay the difference between the doctors billing amount and what the insurance company pays. Does the same apply to dental work?
I need to sign up with a good medical and dental insurance since my job does not offer any benefits. I was wondering if i can just sign onto a medical and dental insurance on an independent basis. If so, please recommend a good medical and a good dental carrier. I live in Arizona if that makes a difference. Thx in advance. PS> I wonder if there is a plan that offers both medical and dental all in one out there some where.
I'm in Arizona and I don't have health insurance including dental. I work part-time so I can't get any benefits from my job. To be honest, I'm so confused by it all. How does someone get dental insurance for themselves? Are there any important things I should be looking out for? Any websites with thorough information. If I need braces, am i looking at a more expensive dental plan?
I was wondering about how much it would cost to get a cleaning at the dentist sans insurance or whatever. My job doesnt have benefits. Any idea? Also what happens if i have a cavity?
I'm sixteen and just got a job as a receptionist at a Dentist's office and I know I'm not going to get a strightforward and easy answer from digging around the internet so I wondered if anyone here could just give me a clear explanation as to what dental insurance is and how it's different from medical insurance. Thank you!
